Characters: Hikari Yagami & Daisuke Motomiya Time: Noon-ish? Location: Odaiba Park
The day was warm - not too hot that you were dying for a snow-cone that would melt in your hands quicker than you'd like, and it wasn't too cold that you had to layer up and find a nice cafe to buy a warm beverage for yourself. It was Hikari's favorite kind of weather, since she was able to just wear a thin white tank top and it wasn't too hot to wear her hot pink cardigan on top of it.
Putting on her ballet flats and grabbing her camera bag, Hikari had this vision in her head of today. She was going to take the bus through the city, and then she's going to the park where her friends had grown up playing at. She was going to catch some scenery through her lens, and it'd be the perfect place to just think about how much has already passed.
It didn't take long to get through the bus, and trains. She had met a few people, and it excited her. Everyday was always a new adventure to her, and as Hikari started walking across the street, towards the park, her eyes widened at the sight in front of her. It seemed like it never changed, since she was only eight, yet it had – it changed a lot.
“Home,” she whispered, as she sighed in relief. “It's so great to be home again.”
Quickly finding a spot to sit at that was safe from the flying balls and gear, Hikari started to focus the lens in her camera, trying to get the right setting and feel for what she wanted. Once she found it, and started to take snapshots of the lot where the blurry athletes were enjoying the day.
After she took a few shots, she noticed that one of the guys looked familiar. Very familiar, actually. She started to grin a lot, as she waited for him to notice her – since she didn't want to mess their game up, or for the game to be over.
Putting her camera away, she stayed and watched in awe, as they kept playing.

Daisuke awoke to the wonderful sound of his alarm clock blaring at him from across the room, alerting him that it was time to get up. Not wanting to get out of the confines of his bed, Daisuke rolled over and grabbed the first thing that he could to hurl at the alarm clock, and hopefully turn it off. Unfortunately enough, the first thing that Daisuke was able to grab was his small partner.
Chibimon blinked as he was suddenly hurled across the room, and landed just short of the clock. "Oof! Dai'uke! I'm not a snooze button!" Chibimon said with a huff, as he rubbed his sore head and glared at Daisuke.
"...M'sorry... Can you turn that off while you're up?" he mumbled from under his pillow. Chibimon stuck his tongue out at his partner before turning off the blaring noise. Daisuke rolled over and was about to go back to sleep, when Chibimon jumped on top of him over and over again. "Gah! Buddy! Stop it!"
"Nope~! You told me to make sure you get up in time for practice! And you gotta get up!" Daisuke blinked at this and sat up, looking over at his alarm clock. His eyes widened and he jumped out of bed, noticing that he was late.... again.
In two minutes flat, Daisuke had put on light brown cargo shorts, a red t-shirt, and had his trademark goggles on his head. He grabbed his backpack and shoved a bottle of water and some snacks into the bag and rushed over to the front door. "Come on, slow poke! I'm not leaving you at home alone again so you can eat everything in sight!" Daisuke called as he shoved on his sneakers. Chibimon laughed and ran towards Daisuke, hopping into the backpack, just as Daisuke opened the door.
The goggle head booked it down the street, only a few blocks away from the park. He was the last one to soccer practice, and he got mocked for it.
It wasn't long before Daisuke was in heat of the moment, running all around the field with his teammates in toe. About half way through the practice game, Daisuke felt eyes on him, but had no time to look around and see who was watching him. A wide grin appeared on his lips as he raced after the ball and kicked it as hard as he could into the goal. He pumped his fist into the air, his team cheering while the other team let out a groan. Looks like the game was over. A few people came over and congratulated Daisuke on the goal, while others began to leave the field, simply waving goodbye as they left.

Hikari noticed that the game was over, and as the people were leaving, she decided to stand up and walk over to the football player. She grinned brightly, happy to see someone familiar. Her hand gripped to her bag, as her walk was almost timid. How long has it been since they've seen each other? Only a small while right? Since she's moved into an apartment close to the University, she had been busy unpacking and situating herself while getting used to her new life.
'Well, obviously, I need to work harder to keep this life still connected with my new one,' she told herself.
“Daisuke!” she said, a small giggle escaping her lips as she realized how natural it felt just to yell out his name like they were searching for each other to walk home from school with their other friends. “How are you?”
She glanced around, wondering if Chibimon was around – since she knows he's never that far away if it could be helped.

Daisuke was saying goodbye to the last of his teammates, who were mocking him for being so late. He was about to shot out after them that it wasn't his fault, when he heard and all too familiar voice behind him. A toothy grin appeared on his lips as he waved at her and began to jog over to her across the field.
"Hikari-chan!" he called out to her. He hadn't seen her in so long, and he was so glad that they ran into each other. As soon as he was close enough, he wrapped his arms around her in a giant bear huge. "I've been great!" he said, letting her go, that smile still on his lips. "How have you been?"
Daisuke's backpack, which wasn't too far away from the pair, began to move slightly at the two voices. Chibimon poked his head out and looked around, making sure no one was nearby to see him. As soon as he was sure it was safe, he hopped out of the bag and ran over to Daisuke, jumping right onto his head. "Buddy~!" he said, not noticing Hikari just yet.

Hikari gasped, and giggled at the bear hug, and wrapped her arms around him, hugging back. It was so nice to see him again, and she missed these hugs so much! She smiled and was about to reply when something - or someone - bounced on Daisuke, as she felt the force against her.
She glanced up, and smiled up as she saw Chibimon. "Hey!" She giggled and then let go of Daisuke, letting them play around a bit before she answered his question. "I've been great, actually. School's been great, and all, but I've missed coming here so much."
She wished she had brought Tailmon with her now, instead of letting her sleep and laze around the apartment. Hikari was certain she would've enjoyed seeing Chibimon and Daisuke.

"Gah! Chibimon! What have I said about doing that in public?" Daisuke said, looking up at his partner as best he could, getting out of the embrace he had been in with Hikari.
Chibimon let out a giggle and nuzzled Daisuke, grinning. "I know, Dai'uke! But I made sure no one was around before jumping out of your bag!" Chibimon then blinked and looked up at Hikari, just now noticing she was there. "Hikari!" he said, jumping from Daisuke's head and into the girls arms.
Daisuke rolled his eyes and smiled down at Hikari, a little surprised that he was a taller then her. "School? Oh right. People tend to go to college after they graduate." he said, laughing nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. "And I'm really glad I ran into you, today. It's been way too long. Is Tailmon with you today?"

Hikari laughed as she caught Chibimon in her arms. She hugged him tightly, "Hey! Long time no see, hm?" It was so exciting to see the optimistic Digimon. She definitely felt the regret now from not bringing Tailmon.
Shaking her head, she sighed. "Nope, she was still sleeping when I left, and she wanted to get used to the new area. Get familiar for whenever she wants to just go out, or something." She rolled her eyes, knowing her mischievous playful partners ways. "It has been too long. We should so something with the gang, and really find out what's going on, but... Since you're here, and I already talked about myself, how are you? What have you been up to?"

"Yup!" Chibimon said, giggling as he nuzzled Hikari, loving the attention she was giving him. The small digimon pouted, however, when he heard Hikari say Tailmon wasn't with her. "Aww! I was hoping to play with Tailmon a little bit. Maybe next time I'll be able to see her!" Chibimon said eagerly, his frown quickly turning into a wide smile.
"Yeah. We really should meet up with the others. I haven't seen anyone else in forever." Daisuke said with a nod. He hadn't even seen Ken in a while, much to his disappointment. "I've been great! Been working a lot recently, you know? And, obviously, playing as much soccer as I can." he said with a small chuckle.
